March 4th, 2007 at 2:00 am by Darth Citrus

Well the day has finally come! After receiving over 100 nominations for over 40 different sites, the results are in! This was a year of first as we saw the first ever recipents of the Golden Light Arrow for Most Lively Forums and the Golden Mirror Shield for Lifetime Achievement. In addition to that, this year also marked the first time a previous winner has won an award, as well as a single site recieving two awards in the same year!

But enough chatter. The winners of the 2007 Golden Item Awards:

The Golden Deku Nut for Most Unique Site - Zelda Reorchestrated

The Golden Bomb Plant for Most Stunning Site - Zelda Europe

The Golden Ocarina for Most Aspiring Site - Zelda Europe

The Golden Light Arrow for Most Lively Forums - HTLOZ II

The Golden Mirror Shield for Lifetime Achievement - The Desert Colossus

Congratulations to the winners of this year’s awards. Thanks to Kafei, FireGS, TML, TSA, and Archaic Sage for providing quotes, as well as Leinator, Link is Doomed and Kadino for help with one of the articles. Finally a big thanks to everyone that took the time to nominate a site or multiple sites. This award couldn’t be done without you guys!

See you in 2008!

Well done to everyone who won, each of you deserved to win for all of your hard work and dedication.

Umm… about TDC and how active the members are… in truth, only about 30-50 members are truly active. On any given day, you can find at most, 12 people on at once… Yeah, I know, not really that active… >_

Be that as it may, DMG, that’s probably why TDC didn’t win the award for most lively forums. :P Lifetime achievement sounds quite fitting for that site.

    Congrats to all the winners!

Yea! Everyone won fairly and for the right things!

Great news for Zelda Europe, they’re so awesome :)

    ZREO was well deserving.

HTLOZ II is very true, although I’d say ZU’s are busier.

TDC is amazing and I totally approve there.

maybe i’ll look at some of those sites later :) .

Wow. They’re all pretty good and deserving of the awards.

I had never even heard about ZREO until now, and after downloading their stuff, I am VERY glad I found out about them!
