Where Did ZeldaBlog Go?

December 16th, 2006 at 6:59 pm by The Missing Link

In case you’ve been wondering why ZeldaBlog’s been down, I have the answer:

A category 2 hurricane (where hurricanes should distinctly not be) and 40 hours without electricity.

Thankfully (hopefully!), this is all fixed and shan’t happen again.

Obviously totally off topic, but I got TP for the Wii today. And I don’t even have a Wii yet. I got it as a present from my grandparents during our “Christmas Family Reunion” (which is always fun if you know what I mean ;) ), and they don’t know any better. Just one step closer!

Now I’m getting just a WII in 8 days! Yippie-kia-yah!

I was wondering why I couldn’t get to the ‘blog! Fortunatly, life can go on now.

yeah, I was in a similar situation. just 24 hours without power though.
sad, you couldn’t beat the final boss of TP a 4th time, with no power and all :P

Ahhh the wonders of nature im glad the UK never gets hit by Hurricanes, you wouldnt believe hom many Tornadoes have hit the UK recently though. London got hit by one a few weeks ago and it destroyed a bunch of houses, America may get the big ones but on average the UK it hit by more Tornadoes than any other country.

I was wondering why it wouldnt come up… I was waiting for the Who’s Blog article. At least its back now.

    A hurricane in December!?

yeah.. i figured it was that storm that did it…

Wait, there are TORNADOES IN THE UK? Daaaaaang…

    on another note…

A hurricane, eh? You mean a pacific typhoon?

NOW if only you could get to work on the whose blog post…

Now as an aside, I’d advise you buy a server that’s SEPERATED from your home computer, that way we won’t be inconvenienced, so when YOU aren’t on, others can post, like Darth Citrus… (What’s he been up to anyway?)

But seriously, how is it remotely possible for tornadoes to appear in the UK? And besides, I doubt Robert’s ever been down tornado alley of the US.

I only had about 12 hours of no power a few days ago.

How do you know he doesn’t? If the power goes out no matter what he’s using its gonna shut down too.

Has anyone tried to use candles instead of a sensor bar? Seriously, I used candles to beat the last boss. It works okay, but sometimes your little cursor will vanish.

    hmmm,I guess a category 2 is a good enough excuse,but dont let it happen again :D .

I’ve heard of it and a friend used it when he lost his sensor bar and it worked. But I’ve never done it.

It wasn’t precisely a hurricane per se. However, it pretty much carried the same characteristics of a hurricane without an eye and without all the rain (although there was some).

At any rate, I’m glad that the power is back on.

I hate hurricanes because I live in Florida so we get them all throught hurricane season. Every time I tried to get on the Blog it sent me to Google.

Never heard of using candles. How does it work with them?

Well, with you living in a high risk area there’s just one classic anime/RPG cliche to use. JUST DON’T DIE!

The sensor bar emits the same thermal rays as a common candle or a flashlight. Pretty nifty until your brother won’t stop shining the flashlight into your wiimote.

Yep. The sensor bar just emits two infra-red beams, the black spot on the Wii-Mote is a special camera that watches the IR beams and then tells the Wii where it is relative the the beams. It only plugs into the Wii for power.

Storm equivalent of a Category 2 hurricane? Pssh, come back when it’s a Category 3 and we’ll talk. I kid, hurricanes don’t usually spew ice and whatnot. Also, you’re confusing the Zelda blogians; I mean, every good Floridian knows that no hurricanes have hit the United States this year.

And that is why Cuba isn’t entirely useless.

    You live in the northwest?

Your state, at least, likely has an emergency plan for such stuff.

    And yes, it’s the Northwest.
