The LOL(WTFBBQ) Movie [updated and bumped 3]

[UPDATE: Bumped this post to let you know that Part 2 of LOL is up at Google Video. Make sure to check for new updates below this post.]

[UPDATE 2: Bumped again to let you know that Part 3 of LOL is up on Google Video. Make sure to check for new updates below this post.]

[UPDATE 3: The final credits and bloopers reel is up on Google Video.]

I hate to do two back-to-back posts in a night, but I cannot help the timing. Sometimes things happen.

Obsession Studios has finally produced what I believe to be the first full-length Zelda movie. It is titled Legend of Link (or LOL for short, and that actually might serve as a much better description of the movie!), and it will eventually run a full 162 minutes. (That’s 2:42, for the mathematically disinclined.) It’s chock-full of inside Zelda jokes, flying fairies that make you want to scream, self-proclaimed not-so-flying fairies that make you want to scream, princesses that can win over any man’s heart, heroes that are linguistically challenged, villians who are complete n00bs, Papa Tingle’s Pizza, and Halo 2. What more could a man want in a Zelda film?

(In case you were wondering, no, this isn’t the trailer I linked to a long time ago.)

Currently, only the first part of the movie is up, with the second and third installments to come later. You can find Part 1 over at Google Video.

wow that’s funny. i can’t wait for the rest of it. love the burger king hat. lol

So this is like “National Lampoons: Legend of Zelda” basically, lol.

    Unexpectedly amusing. I like it.

    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………

    ‘Nuff said.

Although, actually, I didn’t even watch it all. I went up the place where they were inside Hyrule Castle *cough*they suck*cough*

    NOW I can say:’Nuff said.

That film is so terrible its actually quite funny… just wish my sound card worked.

BTW Why was that one guy wearing a cowboy hat and whas that really meant to be Ganondorf, lol.

Sorry for the double post but I gotta tell you guys that in one scene you can actually see the American Flag flying in the background, lol.

Terrific! I was laughing so hard my stomach hurts now. >.<

I loved it. You should see Link’s face after Tingle appears (and a certain surprise) and my favorite part, when Ganondorf was playing a certain Zelda version of a boardgame (I’d like that game, and lose on purpose too)

LOL!! Tingle did what we all wanted to do! The best parts were the ones inside hyrule castle with Ganondorf and his minions. I was laughing throughout almost the whole thing!

    It’s comedy.

Thats my name! THATS MY NAME!!!!!!!! YES!!!

awesome XD Can’t wait for the other parts.

I loved the scene where Link throws a rock at Tingle, he did what ive always wanted to do, but the scene that really had me in stitches is when Tingle whacked Navi away like a baseball and Link hugged him for it hahahaha priceless. If some Hollywood Movie company ever makes a real Zelda movie then they have GOT to get that guy to play Tingle, the man is a comic genious.

It seems they are Tingle fans, and Tingle doesn’t seem much like a bad thing, but still weird. I loved it when Navi was insulting Tingle. Now, I can go to SSBM for the best weapons (with cool sound effects) and that Happy Mask Salesman was scary, especially his theme song. I want to play Operation: Tingle!

    Thatwas hilarious! lol! Soooooo funny!

As funny as the movie was I still think that Ganondorf was a little too young, lol.

BTW Wouldnt it be funny if Tingle is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, lol.

I actually watched the whole thing……Everybody said that was funny…… …. . . …………I’m not even going to say anything…………

well look on the bright side… it definitely makes that other zelda movie look really good.

i watched the movie it was funny i’ll admit but some how it just didnt seem right.comidy is good but it has its time and place if they do ever make a real zelda movie i hope it will be more like the game . tingle hehehe i never get tired of shooting his baloon and watching him fall in MM

What should we call Tingles’ new game… Tingleball or Whack’a'Navi, lol.

I saw this too, it’s funny!

When’s the next two coming out, I wanna see more of this movie. Juuuuuuuuust curious. One thing slightly off topic, hey Robert *holds up a mask that says, “Die” and kills Robert* Now if only we could do that to Tingle. Anyways, when I watched the first part of the movie, when Ganondorf went to take over the castle, I figured this movie would be like that in the game, then after the credits, it’s like everyone just got outta college, while Link is very silent (except at the Happy Mask Salesman scene) and Tingle is too realistic.

    I can’t believe I’m saying this…

…but I believe Tingle has just won the Home Run Contest.

    Man… too bad I can’t watch this… my internets too slllooooowww…..

Wow, they really need to work on the pacing. There were a few parts that were amusing, but most of it is just boring. There’s no way it needs to be 162 minutes long.

*As Robert-UKs lifeless body hit the ground a fairy that he had contained in a bottle rose up and brought him back to life*

Ahhhhhh thats better, anyway do you think Navi will be back or will Tatl show up?

BTW is that really Navi in Twilight Princess?

*steals the rest of Robert’s fairies, then uses the “Die” mask on Robert again* That should hold him for another while, maybe eternity.

Anyways, I wonder what might come up in the next two LoL movies. I bet that Ganondorf goes on a date with Zelda, then he gets his butt kicked when trying to kiss her, while Link witnesses Navi pull a Gandalf (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO) and Tingle is skipping along, until he runs into the “Happy” Mask Salesman, and Ganondorf’s minion chasses Bill around for helping Ganondorf win Tingle Operation, and at the last scene, Link arrives at the castle. What do you guys think? I got to watch the movie again soon.

Part 2’s out for anyone else that found this extremely funny:

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8113238663847801210

“Hyrulian Hero never read the warranty on the “Die Mask” which said *This Mask works only once, we can not be held responsible if your desired target has a fairy” *Robert-UK just shrugged and then gave Hyrulian Hero a Robert-UK-Whopin*

Anyway, I just want the Happy Mask salesman to run into Tingle hehehehe, there is no better target for the Die Mask mwahahahahar.

Ok, going over my predictions, only one was partially right, Zelda and Ganondorf dating, but it turned out to be a dream. *uses the Heart Mask; puts on the Fierce Deity Mask and chases Robert; stops to comment* It was funny when Link was in the Kokiri Forest, and nearly fell asleep with the Deku Tree. Can’t wait for part three.

    AWESOME!!!!

I really enojoyed this, so funny!!!

Part 2 is even better than the first one! Can’t wait for part 3. :)

Liked the first part, LOVED the second.

The entire Kokiri Forest bit, Ganondorf talking to his bear, the ruppee finding sequence, and the drunken idiot in the bar… all hilarious moments. Plus, that fight scene was pretty thrilling in my opinion.

I’m really loving this movie!! I eagerly await for part 3!

The second part is much better than the first one. It was pretty funny until the 17th minute (when he was in the market) then it just turned into nonsense. And the bandit place was actually serious…Or at least that’s what I thought.

That’s what I call having a soft side. I was bursting out loud at that scene, the he has the special dream, that ended with Link taking away Zelda *falls to the ground laughing* I wonder what other musical parts they’ll have in LoL-P3.

    To bad I can’t watch this… I feel I am really missing out. :(

Why cant you watch it Legend of Link?

I just answered your question, Robert. I have one prediction for LoL-part three, but it would mean giving away a possible ending (the last time I did that, here at home…*shudders* I CANNOT THINK ABOUT “THAT” AGAIN!!!) *sigh* Anyways, These movies should be on a website of their own, so they will never disappear. And It’s 162 minutes because it’s a comedy, don’t think that DC and TML are the only ones who can provide comedy. Who hopes that LoL Part 3 will best the rest of the LoL series?

heh heh in the third part of LOL link fights Bill, I have the sword that the guy with the huge sheild uses I really like it

By the way that was My first post :D

Finally someone posted. Forgive me, but I wanted to post here since the subject had been bumped again. I believe this was the best part of the series (and another annoyance is down, I won’t say whom :D )

Man…it ended…I hope they put up the blooper reel soon. The YGO/Pokemon/Magic the Gathering scene reminded me of many a Magic game played on band trips. “Glory Seeker, you have summoning sickness right now. But I don’t care! ATTACK!” :D

Third part was……with a lot of non-sensical “Comedy” but it also had a lot of serious moments. Great ending, though. And that Ganondorf sure went berserk in Kokiri woods……didn’t know they had that in them……but the explanation of the triforce splitting in three was wrong…guess it doesn’t matter……but *sniff* it’s over now *tears start flowing in eyes* now, I have almost nothing left to look forward to *starts crying but keeps writing* I, *sniiiiiiiiiiff* better go now……goodbye.

Just watched parts 2 and 3. I do say that Tingle was my favorite character in the entire thing. Delivering the SSBM on Navi and Kaepora Gaepora was amazing!

But it wasn’t only comical, it actually turned out to be a very well done movie (for a fan movie anyway). I enjoyed it.

HEYHEYHEY…hey! I got something for you to look forward to, your own Zelda fan-*nsert type of art here* like a movie, a masterpiece picture, music from MIDI, just make something that takes a long time to make, that’ll be some worth its time. And now, so write down the highlights that I liked ** SPOILER!!! If you hate spoilers, do not read the rest of this post, please, and thankyou. **

In LoL-P1, MY favorite parts were, when one of Ganondorf’s minions was whining about Animal crossing, the party scene (ZELDA! ZELDA! ZElDA! ZELDA!) including the Operation Tingle. And then when Tignle pulled a SSBM on Navi.

In LoL-P2, When Link was talking to the Great Deku Tree, Link nearly fell asleep, and got going fast. Then there was that part with the shopkeeper who obviously read TML’s article on “That New Hyrulean Math.” And my most favorite part on that (with Link) was when Link met up with the guys with the bombs *flashes back to watching Link flashing back* and with Ganondorf, when he went to his room and sobbed with his teddy bear, then he dreamed of dating Zelda, and lost her to Link (in the hot tub.)

And finally, in LoL-P3, there was the scene with Link getting lost in the Lost Woods, then the fight with the guy who is obsessed with card games. Then he meets Kaebora Gaebora, and calls Tingle on a Tingle Tuner (actually a cell phone, but it’s fun to match modern stuff with Zelda) and Tingle goes SSBM again, and with Ganondorf, when he gives his men useless stuff as weapons, and only Boris gets knives. Then there was the TV channel who were focused on Link, watching his go through Hyrule and stuff (and we get to know the name of one of the reoccuring multiple-role actor, Marvin Marvin) and the battle between Ganondorf and Link was awesome.

** Spoiler over, but so is my post :D **

We could always get together and make our own Zelda movies, we could call it “The Legend of Zelda Hyrulian Hero”, lol.

It’ll probably have to be animated, since everyone in these movies live nearby to make these (like Xavier University) while we are located at different corners of the Earth (USA, Canada, United Kingdoms, Central America, the list goes on!) But it would be a cool idea. There are many fan-movies out there, like the series that spikerman has in Zelda Linked Green, he’s been getting better and better on his series, story-wise and animations, and there’s some movies at Ice’s Zelda Central, including two that are comedies, one is a classic cartoon of AoL Link meeting the Old Man (I used to watch it a lot three years ago) and another live movie, not as well done as LoL, but it is a good movie, it’s called Legend of Vernon. Maybe one us us will make more movies, but for now, I consider LoL the best (for now)

And Iceland!!!!!………I’m not really exĂ°ecting you even know what that is, but………whatever.

    Oh, well.

sorry, “Oh well” wasn’t supposed to be white too, made a little mistake……

That movie sucked yet it made me die of laughter!*dies* XD

Dr.H.Hero: I made a wonderful weapon inspired by this series, fellow doctors. It’s called the suspense bomb *lights the bomb’s fuse* the longer it’s held, the more suspense it makes, until someone says something funny.
HH: I came up with an invention of my own, the Bombchu Arrow. It actually flies, and it has homing capability *shoots the bombchu arrow from a crossbow; Bombchu Arrow hits the Suspense Bomb, blowing up everything*

My most favorite part is the scene with the bomb dudes from LoL-Part Two. I know they have other roles, particularly as villians. Anyways, it’ll be cool if Obsession Studios used this and parts of the Bombchu Commercial for the Fourth of July. I think the best of the serious scenes (as in the ones with Link fighting) is the battle between Ganondorf and Link. Good thing that Link caught a fairy before the battle, and they did real good with the graphics. Maybe DC should talk to Obsession Studios about making some movies after his ASSAs, what do you guys think?

is the movie animated or real people?

If DC decides too, it’ll be his choice. It’ll be cool to see things like “The Ultimate Zelda Movie” or in a recent ASSA, “Calling in, Mr. Fairy” that would be cool if it were to be real.

    SS4 Kurama said:

It has real people in it. I really love the movie, all the parts of it. I love that Tingle always got rid of the annoying people. (Such as Navi and the owl with the freakishly long name.) My favorite part is when (3 part) the guy challanges Link to a Yugi-yo (Sorry if I don’t spell it right) duel. I dont know why they put the pokemon battle themesong though…..

The guy has an obsession of “the cards” from what I’m seeing with the guy-who-looked-like-he-stuck-a-finger-into-a-light-socket was a guy who like’s the battle disc of Yu-Gi-Oh!, the music from Pokemon, and played Magic: The Gathering games. Now if only Obsession Studios managed to do something with Tingle >:D

Yeah the whole card thing is cool

    Hah, this film was awsome!!

Definatly the funniest movie I have ever watched. The infamous muli-role actor (Marvin Marvin) was great. The part that made me laugh the hardest was the Halo 2 sequence in LoL-1. I also loved Link’s bomb flashback. It was perfect with the classical music set to it. The Happy Mask Man was great. “Buy another mask! Buy one!”. And, sorry to say, but this movie has made me a Tingle fan! He kicked *navi*! So many great things about this movie. I think every Zelda fan should see this.

Anyway,I found another really cool sight: www.hyrulianguardian.blogspot.com
