Wii’s Controller Shell Revealed May 9th, 2006 at 4:26 pm by The Missing LinkJoystiq is reporting that the controller shell for the Wii remote controller is finally confirmed. It looks very similar to a cross-breed between the SNES controller and the PS2 DualShock only with the Home button smack dab in the middle there. This wasn’t shown at the conference today, and this is curious because I expected it to be shown. I’m also mystified by the wire… and the only thing I can think of is that this plugs directly into the back of the remote instead of having the remote slide into the shell. Stay tuned. I wouldn’t be surprised if it just plugs directly into the GameCube controller ports. It looks basically like a rearanged Cube controller anyways. I still want to know how they’re doing N64 gaming. The C-stick method worked fine for free games on the Cube, but if I’m paying $10 a game, I want something alittle higher quality.

So, how much does the Wii sell for? (I changed my mind; I love the name.)

No price point yet. No release date yet.

I think most N64 games were better than those on GC. Pity I already own them all
