But Where’s the Dream Filling?

Friday, January 27th, 2006

Link’s Awakening managed to do something that I didn’t think was at all possible. It managed to be one of the most well-loved Zelda titles despite having a feature that ordinarily would have players throwing down their controllers… er… Game Boys in disgust. Let me relate this feature to you in terms of […]

We have official word today that Iwata, Nintendo’s president, has announced that the Revolution will hit North America before Thanksgiving. According to Iwata, “We can’t disclose the Revolution’s release period yet, but we have no plans to miss out on the year-end sales battle. As for North America, we need to release it by […]

My apologies to those of you who were waiting for this article 3 days ago. I’ve been busy these last few weeks working on this. Then, I’ve been busy these last few days catching up on all the homework I neglected.
Anyway, I’ve always wondered what happened when Ganondorf rose to power. Specifically how he […]

Return of the fansite?

Tuesday, January 17th, 2006

Over the past few days, possibly weeks, there have been many complaints about various aspects of the Zelda Community. As an observer before poster, I’m a member of about a dozen Zelda forums, and a lurker at many, many more. At some sites that I frequent, there are complaints about people ripping each other off. Zelda World is getting ripped off at this moment in time by some new Zelda website that I can’t remember the name of. However, this isn’t what I’m here to talk about.

As reported a few weeks ago, the British Magazine NGC stated that there would be a degree of playability with the Revolution, Nintendo then announced their own carefully worded denial of this rumour. However, the story does not end there folks, oh no! NGC have bitten back at Nintendo, and ZeldaBlog is reporting it here.

Tetris DS

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

A recent press release from Nintendo revealed Tetris DS. Before you begin egging me for it being irrelevant, allow me to continue. This game will feature not only WiFi connectivity (the fifth game now), but also modes based on six different Nintendo franchises. These include Mario Brothers, Metroid, and of course, Legend of Zelda. […]

Why Everyone Knows That The Zelda Old School Rocks

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

I’m in the generation that grew up with pixels. I saw games go from simple ASCII symbols to flat 4 colour pixel affairs, then finally 2D pretending to be 3D in the fact that pixels could be a bit more detailed and look like they weren’t actually flat. That was my childhood. Now I’m an adult things have changed a lot. I’ve been playing games since I was three and I’m now twenty-four. Yep I love all the bright sparkly new 3D graphics, I don’t drool over them but I do marvel at what programmers can do these days.

Another Rumour Debunked

Sunday, January 8th, 2006

I hate to say I told you so… but I told you so.
The rumour flitting around that was reported in NGC magazine about Twilight Princess having special content with the Revolution controller? That’s right… bunk.
However, that’s not the important story behind all this. First with Club Nintendo messing up with the Zelda movie […]
